Yeah, Shel was quite the druggy and quite the song writer, most people dont know that he was responsible for most of Dr. Hook's tunes as well as this little treat from Johnny Cash.

Damn. I remember Shel as a kid. I got 'A Light in the Attic' as a gift for christmas.
I was probably 9 or 10 at the time.

"Little Abigail and the Beautiful Pony" That crap freaked me the hell out.
It was just such an 'in your face' thing to read as a kid.

It was my first introduction to shock value, I think.
